Tomato & Avocado Salad

This salad was inspired by one I had in Italy once. With all of the wonderful home grown tomatoes you can get right now, this makes the perfect summer salad.

Tomato and Avocado Salad
1 large ripe tomato, cut into wedges
1 medium ripe avocado, sliced
juice of 1/2 of a lime
3 large basil leaves, sliced
fresh marjoram leaves
olive oil
salt and pepper
Arrange the tomato and avocado on a plate. Squeeze lime juice over all, drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and salt and pepper. Serve.

Avocados, I do enjoy. Have you ever tried one of those avocado smoothie drinks? They are sometimes at a lot of Chinese restaurants or like at Jamba juice? I am just curious if they are any good. Avocados to me do not seem to translate well into fruit smoothy drinks, but I could be wrong.
Does look like a great salad.

I made a salad of cucumbers, red onion and avocado tonight..it seemed like a strnage combo, but, it was what I had so I threw it all together with viniger, salt and pepper and some lemon juice and it actually tasted good and the juice was all creamy..
